isochrony (等時性/とうじせい/toujisei)
The term " isochrony"
refers to the phenomenon that in a stress-timed language, such as
English, stressed syllables follow each other at approximately equal
time intervals (Pike, 1945) quoted from Lehiste(1976).

Japanese language is a 4 beat (four-four time) or 2 beat(two‐four time)
language. as the slide p. 8 shows, they are all odd numbers, but if the
rest included, it becomes 4 beats.
